CASHEW (Anacardium Occidentale L.)

Introduction: A team of scientists based at Dapoli University in Maharashtra, is applying for patents on wine made from cashew.
Wine and prunes are only two of the delicious products we can enjoy in the processing of cashew fruits.
The cashew fruit undergoes reverse osmotic process to extract the juice and the juice undergoes the process of fermentation to produce the wine. The product is yellowish-brown in color and becomes reddish brown upon aging. It contains ten to twelve percent ethyl alcohol.
Ingredients:
Cashew fruit - about 12 medium sized approximately 1 kg (Remove the nut and use only the fruit)
Sugar 1 kg (add 1/2 kg more if you like your wine sweet)
Boiled and cooled water 4 liters
Yeast 1 tsp
